I love working with medtech founders to roadmap their #medtech #startups. This process helps understand value & decision tradeoffs. I want to work with the best engineers, folks who can understand the challenges & discover optimal solutions, engineers who want to make medical devices better, more efficient & for less money. Blossoming engineers & seasoned engineers from across all #engineering disciplines can advise on technology assessment & technology management plans. They can provide feedback on: device features, safety, efficacy, user experience, product design, materials, and risk. Program was designed to (1) produce top-quality medical devices & (2) understand that clinicians will expect medical hardware & software that’s intuitive & even enjoyable to use. The risk of human error will increase as medical devices grow outdated. The CTIP Eng-IR’ will act as advisors and help founders go all the way from foundational first principles to execution of vision.

The program is based on the idea that forging stronger relationships between entrepreneurs, clinicians, engineers and industry will increase the capacity for productivity and innovation. An Engineer-In-Residence can help a startup leverage its core technology competencies, teach founders how to scale, expand their product portfolio offerings and connect the dots in regard to interoperability and emerging technology.
